Logan’s Heart and Smiles is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving homes and inspiring hope for children with disabilities across Wisconsin.
Joe knew when Logan was born with cerebral palsy there was a reasoning for it – he just didn’t know what it was. Fast forward three years to when Logan got his first wheelchair. There wasn’t a funding source that would pay for nor was there an organization that focused on building ramps for children with disabilities like Logan. Joe used his own money and his skillset to build Logan a simple little ramp so they could get him in and out of the house.
When Logan died, Joe knew the reasoning he went through everything with Logan was to serve others and help families just like his. After Logan’s death, Joe knew that other families were struggling with similar situations and didn’t have the money or know-how to build a ramp and hence Logan’s Heart and Smiles was born.
Heart because Logan (much like his dad) had a heart bigger than his body and Smiles because Logan had the biggest smiles. Within six months of Logan’s death, we were building our first ramp for a Friend.
Logan’s Heart & Smiles has been helping children in need throughout Wisconsin since 2002. Since then, we have assisted over 250 children with ramps, fences, handrails, bathroom adaptations, accessible walkways, therapeutic installs, and other custom home modifications.
Our Mission
